Get ready to save money on your

summer electric bills!

Here's how...

1) Use exterior shades, awnings, trees or shrubbery to help block sunlight from hitting  

your home.

2) Keep your air conditioner cleaned and serviced and keep the unit's condenser shaded 

from the sun.

3) Make sure that your central humidifier is turned off during the summer.

4) Use a programmable thermostat so your air conditioner doesn't run all day when 

you're not home.

5) Keep blinds drawn whenever possible.

6) If a summer night is cool, shut the air off and throw a fan in your window.

7) Close your windows whenever your air conditioner is running.

8) Close off rooms that don't need cooling if you have individual vent controls. 

9) Buy some stick on (or permanent) tint for your windows to help block sunlight

from entering your home.
