My washing machine is dirty. How do I clean it?

1) If your washing machine has rust stains in it,

add two cups of lime or lemon juice to the

hottest water setting and run a full cycle.

2) If you have dye stains in your machine, put two

cups of bleach into the "barrel" and run two cycles on

the hottest and highest settings.

3) Keep in mind that rust spots may indicate underlying

damage to your machine. It may be a good idea to call

a professional out if you do see rust spots. You may

have to replace the "barrel" or replace the entire

machine.

4) Don't try to sand rust spots. This wall simply cause

more damage.

5) After you do clean your machine, run it through a full

cycle without clothes.

6) Remember...don't mix chemicals. Bleach,  for instance,

when mixed with rust inhibitor, releases poisonous gases.
